Sim's a Bear

Simeon earned his Bear award in scouts this past week.

Kindergarten Graduation

Ben graduated this past week. It is finally summer here. (even though it is still grey and 60 degrees, will it ever end)

Chase is Thirteen

Chase turned 13 this week! I really can not believe it! I officially now have a teenager. Chase started it all. I fell in love with him and couldn't stop having more. He is such a great kid. For his B-day we took him and his friends to Sky High Sports. It is a huge warehouse that is filled with trampolines. They had a blast! It is the perfect place to burn off energy. Now that I know it is there I will definitely be taking them there on long rainy days. Chase got his first cell phone. He was so excited. I think he had a good day.

Orchestra

This year in Orchestra Chase and His best friend Coleman got to go to Disneyland and perform. All of the orchestra kids and band kids flew to California for four days. They also got to work with the Disney director who does the music for the movies. Most of the time they just spent at the park. Unfortunately he did not take any pictures. His last concert of the year was all of there Disney songs. He has really gotten good. I love that he enjoys the violin and has stuck with it. I am really proud of him. I will upload the music later.

The big 36!

Chase turned 36 this year. I can't believe he is that old. Mainly because if he is that old I am getting old. The best present he got this year was from his parents. They found his old Pee Wee Herman doll in the attic and mailed it to us. It was hilarious. The kids love it!

Fathers and Son's

This year for fathers and son's the boys went about two hours away to Moses Lake. It is a desert. It is a lot warmer and sunnier . Chase Took of work so that they could go for a couple of nights. The boys had a blast! They came home filthy and tired! they went boating and played in the sand dunes.

Track and Field

This year 5 of the kids did track. We found out that they do the Hershey track program here like they used to do in Az. They were so excited. The only downside was the qualifying meet was on a Sunday, so they only got to participate in the two practice meets. They even did preschool age events so Giddy got to participate. It was so cold during track we froze! The kids had fun and it was good to get out of the house. Sol is so serious and competitive. His first race was the 200m, he was winning the whole time and looking around and at the end the kid passed him, he was so mad and came up to the stands furious. His other races he made sure that that did not happen again. That kid is so competitive that when he is older if he can learn to channel that he is going to be amazing at whatever he does. Ben is the exact opposite. He smiles the whole time he is running, would visit with anybody around him, as he ran by the stands he would wave and make sure we were watching and taking pictures. He cracks me up. He still always got a ribbon and never got below 4th. Hannah is also miss competitive, in everything that she does. Playing a board game or family kickball at the park always ends in her and her dad arguing about the rules and who is right. Those two love to win and don't play well together. She tried to do every event and got a ribbon in everything. She was really good at the hammer throw. Sim does not really like track, he will go do the throwing events and then sit in the stands and won't do any of the running events. During practices he has to run and he would always get second or first. He says it hurts his lungs when he runs. Gid was hilarious, we didn't know he could participate, so the first meet he showed up and ran in his jeans and vans, and still got 2nd. The next week he came prepared, he had a blast, he thought he was so big like his older siblings.
